Twinsburg City Schools cancels classes after lightning hits high school

TWINSBURG, Ohio — A lightning strike Sunday morning at Twinsburg High School has disrupted the district’s♒ power supply, forcing it൲ to cancel all classes for Monday as it works to repair the damage.

“Although our staff, as well as the electricians, have been troubleshooting all day, the necessary repairs cannot beg💮in until (Monday),” on the district’s website. “Unfortunately, this is a day-to-day situation based upon the availability of the parts that are neede♍d for the repair.”

The statement says the district’s phones, fire alarms, suppression systems and HVAC all rely on the internet and the servers are housed at 🦩the high school𓄧. The servers currently are inoperable and because all of the district’s buildings operate on the same network, all classes were canceled for Monday.
