CLEVELAND, Ohio — Kyle Manzardo’s big league dream is about to become a reality. A club source told iccwins188.com Sunday that the Guardians will add the 23-year-old first baseman to their roster ahead of Monday’s series opener again꧒st Detroit.

Steven Kwan, Cleveland’s Gold Glove left fielder who leads the American League in batting average, hits and runs scored, is heading to the 1൲0-day injured list after leaving Saturday’s win against 💜the Angels with a sore left hamstring.

The Guardians are expected to give an update on the extent of Kwan’s injury prior to Monday’s game against🦋 the Tigers.

Manzardo has been on fire at Triple-A Columbus, where he collected four home runs in his last seven games and is batting .303 with a 1.017 OPS and 20 RBI i๊n 109 at-bats.

President of baseball operations Chris Antonetti said Manzardo has made great🍸 progress during his time in Triple-A on areas that the organization identified for him at the end of spring train❀ing.

“He’s been good against left hand pitching, and his approach against lefties has improved,” Antonetti said. “He’s worked reall꧙y hard on his defense, both h💦is footwork around the bag and his throwing and he continues to put up and manage really at-bats.”

The final obstacle, Antonetti said, was finding opportunities for consistent at-bats at the major league level in order for a move to make sense. With Kwan headed to the injured list, Manzardo’s tim🎀e has arrived.

Ranked the organization’s No. 2 prospect acco🧜rding to MLB Pipeline, Manzardo 𒁃hit .381 with a .934 OPS and a pair of RBI in 13 big league spring training games.
