MARYSVILLE, Ohio — People in a central Ohio town🎃 are trying to figure out what’s going on after thousands of dollars were found in the restrooms of a theater and a fast food restaurant in less than a week.
Police in Marysville that $25,000 was discovered hidden Aprilꦗ 27 in the restroom of the Avalon Theatre. Five 💎days later, $12,000 was found in the restroom of a KFC, .
“Two times in one week,” police Capt. Nate Sachs tells WBNS. “One is just weird in and🦩 of itself. But two times in one week is definitely another level and it makes you want to figure it out a little more.”
Police say a worker at the theater found the money after noticing someone “acting suspiciously” the night before, W𒀰BNS reports. Both the theater worker and the KFC worker notified police after finding the money.
Investigators believꦓe the discoveries are related but they don’t know where the money came from, WSYX reports. The money ranged from $5 bills to $100 bills, reports say.
The Secret Serviไce and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are expected to assist police, 🍷reports say.
